New Local Supplier – Glonney Designs

Not only are our Brides beautiful, they are pretty talented too!  Our Bride-to-be Miranda brought in some of her jewellery designs to show me the other day and I knew they would be a hit with our customers!  All of the designs are made from kiln formed glass by Miranda, right here on the Isle of Man and come with their own presentation box, gift bag and leaflet about the artist.  Here is a little bit more about her….

Glonney Designs

Glonney Designs is a company owned and run by Miranda Sharp who lives and works in the inspiring and picturesque Isle of Man.  The business name reflects the strong link Miranda feels to the Island as well as her passion for glass as ‘glonney’ is the Manx Gaelic word for ‘glass’.

Throughout Miranda’s artistic career she has always had a strong pull towards bright colours and an eye catching boldness that combine to compliment each other.  These elements create beautiful and unique pieces made in the magical medium of kiln-formed glass.

The tactility of glass along with the vast variation of colours and textures that she can use to manipulate the raw material keep her relentlessly experimenting with different techniques and producing new and exciting ideas, all in the highest quality Bullseye Glass.

From a private commission tailored specifically to your taste, a gift for a wedding or a treat for yourself, Glonney Designs will design and create stunning, unique kiln=formed glass pieces for any occasion.
