Flower Studio Design School Class of ’11!

Well, our firTable Centrest design school held its final class a couple of weeks ago and as a sort of ‘Graduation’ we all went for a meal at The Glen Helen Inn on Tuesday night.

Now, I had thought of surprising the ladies with one final piece of flower aranging, but then guessed they would all be arriving in their finest evening wear and would not want to get their hands dirty, so I made the table centre myself!Flower Quotes

This long table centre was made up in 8 separate dishes so that each guest could take one home with them as a reminder of the evening.  And I was so inspired by Joanne & James’s creativity at their wedding on Saturday with the different Love Quotes on each place setting that I did something similar with quotes about flowers!

Scott at the Glen Helen Inn put together a lovely menu for us, including Goat’s Cheese Tart (which had a layer of walnuts and pear inside), Stuffed Salmon Steak with Garlic & Prawns (see the photo below… it was soo delicious!) and my all time favourite dessert of Sticky Toffee Pudding!  The Glen Helen Inn is definitely a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone, great food, friendly service and in such a beautiful setting, what more could you ask for?

Stuffed Salmon SteakWe will be running our Design School again next year, and we are working on our programme of events for the rest of 2011 also.  If you would like to be kept up to date with any workshop dates, then just sign up to our VIP newsletter and you will be the first to hear.
